Beijing (EFE). “Hoy es un día histórico para el Perú”, afirmó hoy el presidente Alan García Pérez al oficializar la entrada en vigencia del Tratado de Libre Comercio (TLC) con China, y saludar el cierre de las negociaciones con la Unión Europea.
En su discurso, destacó que el TLC con China pone a disposición del Perú un mercado de 1.300 millones de personas, los cuales se suman a los 320 millones, de Estados Unidos, y los 500 millones adicionales de la Unión Europea (UE).
“Todo esto suma 2.100 millones de habitantes del mundo que pueden recibir nuestros productos sin aranceles tasas e impuesto y son un desafío para la capacidad de emprendimiento de los peruanos”.
En ese sentido, dijo que ahora “está abierta la cancha para hacer goles”, y que “depende de cada empresario, inversionista y peruano inteligente con iniciativa y audacia”.
En la ceremonia, que se realizó en Palacio de Gobierno, participaron el canciller José García Belaunde, y los ministros de Comercio Exterior, Martín Pérez, y de Ambiente, Antonio Brack.
Asimismo, el embajador de China en Perú, Zhao Wuyi, quien fue recibido en la Puerta de Honor por el Mandatario.

EL SEGUNDO CON AMÉRICA LATINAEl amplio Tratado de Libre Comercio (TLC) entre China y Perú para bienes, servicios e inversiones entró hoy en vigor, lo que lo convierte en el octavo negociado por el gigante asiático y el segundo con América Latina tras el alcanzado con Chile en el 2005.
“Hoy es el día más importante en la historia de las relaciones del Perú con China y con cualquier país asiático porque el Perú ha pasado a formar parte del club exclusivo de países con TLC con China. Para nosotros es un privilegio muy grande”, dijo hoy a la prensa el embajador de Perú, Harold Forsyth.
“Este acuerdo de libre comercio es el más rápido entre los negociados por China, lo que demuestra eficiencia por ambos países y evidencia también de una magnífica organización y planificación del comercio exterior por Perú”, añadió el embajador.
En declaraciones a Efe, Forsyth destacó que ya están sentadas las bases para un relanzamiento del comercio de bienes, servicios e inversiones y el TLC “es un desafío para que los empresarios peruanos lo rentabilicen” y equilibren la balanza de un comercio de 7.500 millones de dólares en 2008.
“Las aduanas tienen ya toda la información digitalizada para facilitar el comercio”, dijo a Efe Forsyth, quien expresó su deseo de ver también mayores intercambios culturales “y libros peruanos en las ferias del libro en China”.

Además de Perú y Chile, China tiene TLC con ASEAN (Asociación de Naciones del Sureste Asiático), Pakistán, Nueva Zelanda y Singapur, concluyó otro con Costa Rica, y negocia con Australia, el Consejo de Cooperación del Golfo, Islandia y Noruega, informó el Ministerio.
